Measure It Anyway
The two horizontal lines below are exactly the same length. Look at them for a moment before doing anything else.
Which line looks longer, the top one or the bottom one? Most people see the top line (the one with arrowheads pointing outward) as clearly longer.
Both lines run from the same left edge to the same right edge, marked now by the two vertical guides. They are identical. You can trace them with your own eyes, or measure the image on your screen with an actual ruler.
Now look again. Does the top line still look longer than the bottom one?
